Cardiac Arrhythmia

This is a change in the rhythm of your heart beat. The heart can beat too fast (tachycardia), too slow (bradycardia) or irregular. This can be caused by strong emotion or exercise. However, if arrhythmia together with symptoms like shortness of breath, palpitations, tired, passing out or chest pain, you will need to consult a doctor. Problem with the sinoatrial node (pacemaker), nerve impulses or hormones may cause this. Some mild arrhythmia require no treatment while some can be treated with medications. In more serious cases, you might need artificial pacemaker, cardiac defibrillation or surgery.
